Group’s Business and Policies

A1 Ventures Pty Ltd (“A1 Ventures” or the “Group”) maintains a number of internal policies and procedures designed to support ethical business practices and mitigate risks related to modern slavery and human trafficking.

Outsourcing Policy

The Group’s Outsourcing Policy ensures that A1 Ventures appropriately considers and manages risks associated with the outsourcing of activities, including regulated or critical services, in accordance with applicable Australian laws, regulatory requirements, and industry guidelines. This includes assessing third-party service providers for potential operational, compliance, and ethical risks.

Whistleblowing Policy

A1 Ventures maintains a Whistleblowing Policy that enables employees and relevant stakeholders to report, on a confidential and anonymous basis, any suspected wrongdoing, including concerns related to modern slavery, human trafficking, or other human rights abuses. Reports may be made directly to the Group in accordance with Australian whistleblower protection laws.

Dignity at Work Policy

The Group’s Dignity at Work Policy establishes clear standards of acceptable behaviour for all employees and representatives of A1 Ventures. It outlines procedures for reporting incidents of bullying, harassment, or other inappropriate conduct, and reinforces the Group’s commitment to a respectful, inclusive, and safe working environment.
Training and Awareness
While A1 Ventures Pty Ltd has not identified any new material modern slavery risks or implemented additional measures during the current financial year, the Group continues to provide ongoing modern slavery awareness training to all employees through its internal e-learning platform.

This training is designed to:

Educate employees on the nature and forms of modern slavery
Assist employees in recognising potential indicators of modern slavery
Encourage vigilance across business operations and third-party relationships
A1 Ventures believes that fostering awareness and accountability through a bottom-up approach plays a critical role in identifying and mitigating potential modern slavery risks across the Group’s operations and supply chains.
Approval and Review
This Modern Slavery Statement was approved by the Board of Directors of A1 Ventures Pty Ltd on [20 July 2023].

The Statement will be reviewed and updated annually to ensure ongoing compliance with the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and to reflect any changes in the Group’s operations, structure, or risk profile.
